Services
Choix Vocational Services understands that each person has unique needs; therefore, each individual’s service plans are developed through a detailed, person-centered planning process.
Services and support are provided at our facility and in the community. The program aims to develop meaningful life coping skills and teach necessary skills to assist persons with developmental and or intellectual disabilities in living fulfilling lives. The program enables participants to gain self-esteem, which will empower them to become more independent and able to advocate for themselves. It provides life choices and individualized training. Individual-driven services are based on the principle of normalization and appropriate teaching practices.
The expected outcome for each participant is the significant reduction or complete elimination of maladaptive behaviors that serve as barriers to their effective functioning within the community.
In place of these behaviors, participants will acquire and generalize appropriate, functional skills that promote independence, social integration, and overall improvement in quality of life. These skills will be tailored to support daily living, interpersonal interactions, and adaptive functioning.
Choix Vocational Services office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday throughout the year.
